As a wildlife conservationist with a palate for eco-friendly experiences, my recent gourmet getaway at Steenberg Hotel & Spa in the heart of South Africa's wine country was truly a feast for the senses.Steenberg's commitment to cultivating vineyards for the healthiest grapes shines through in their exquisite wine offerings. Dining under the stars at the terraced dining area, surrounded by indigenous gardens and reflective water features, was an unforgettable experience. The warmth of the 3-course winter-inspired menu, paired with free-flowing red wine, was a culinary delight. The Skotnes Restaurant, a short drive away, added to the culinary adventure with its food pairings like shellfish and Thai curry.Returning to the hotel, a spa indulgence or a leisurely afternoon by the sun lounger awaited. Steenberg Hotel has truly mastered the art of combining luxury, nature, and gastronomic excellence in a seamless package. A must-visit for all food enthusiasts seeking a one-of-a-kind experience.
